July CHW CoLab | Diary of a Virus

This learning event explores the history of HIV through the lens of Black and Brown communities, where we finally see ourselves and/or those we love in the story of HIV, using how far we've come as inspiration for how far we can go to end the epidemic.

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • understand the history of the HIV epidemic and the grassroots efforts that contributed to how far we’ve come in advancements in HIV prevention and treatment.

  • understand that our stories intersect with that of the HIV epidemic.

  • examine biases that prohibit communities from accessing HIV prevention and treatment.
