4th Annual NYU CHW Research & Resource Center's CHW Innovations Summit Day 1

The NYU CHW Research & Resource Center's CHW Innovations Summit, co-sponsored by the NYU-CUNY Prevention Research Center, will be held on April 9th, 1:00 - 4:00 PM ET and April 10th, 1:00 - 4:15 PM ET. We will explore critical issues in CHW workforce sustainability, reimbursement, and advocacy.

We will kick off the Summit on Wednesday, April 9th at 1:00 PM ET with a keynote address from Honey Yang Estrada, MPH, CHW, President of the North Carolina Community Health Worker Association. Her address will be followed by a moderated Q&A with Dr. Nadia Islam, PhD, Professor in the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

We have two afternoons of discussions planned, featuring esteemed speakers from the Center for Health Care Strategies, New York State Department of Health, Envision Equity, Partners in Health (PIH), AIRnyc, Northern Perinatal Partnership, among others. The panels will delve into critical issues such as putting into practice CHW reimbursement mechanisms, lessons from CHW coalition building across the U.S., and centering community-based organizations in CHW policy and funding.  Don’t miss this opportunity to engage and shape the future of community health workers! See agenda below and the topics that will be covered.
